Before joining Guardian Fitness, I felt I was reasonably fit and I didn't believe that weights were for me. However, I quickly learned that I had a lot of room to improve my fitness! 6 months later and I am completely converted! I am stronger, leaner and more flexible than I've ever been. My cardio health has massively improved and I am much more aware of what my body needs in order to perform at its best. Each session with Parfait is unique, so I am constantly challenged and motivated. And he adapts the program to how I am feeling and the other things happening in my life (e.g. stress from work). I love the constant compliments that I get on my improved physique. I like to say that I have 'Arms by Parfait'.

To turn a lifelong couch potato into a gym rat is no small feat – while some of my previous trainers have apparently given me up (due to my failure to turn into one of their stars!), Parfait quietly retrained my attitude and my body. He places a high value on correct form with each exercise and motivates me to push past my perceived limits, realistically. In a short time, I gained the confidence (1) to walk into any commercial gym/weight room by myself and (2) to really look forward to the next training session with him.
