What is Atrophy?

Atrophy is the progressive degeneration or shrinkage of muscle or nerve tissue.

Causes are

1. Lack of physical activity

2.Age

It is ideal to do resistance training as it helps to increase in muscle tissue size which can reverse Atrophy. The main benefits from this are increased strength and power, increased caloric expenditure, which may aid weight loss.
